2024 Ride for Red Nose
Welcome to this year’s 2024 Ride for Red Nose. As you can see, the name has a slight change to it to align more with Red Nose who all proceeds go towards. This partnership will continue to grow and allow our great ride to develop not only in the Bellarine area, but also across the country to further support Red Nose.
Some big additions to this years Ride for Red Nose around the Bellarine, with our social ride still continuing which will see riders take on the 110km circuit around the beautiful Bellarine setting. The first annual Ride for Red Nose Kids ride will take place also which will add an exciting and family element to the riding weekend. Also there are early plans to add a fast paced ride onto the weekend calendar for 2024 for those riders who want to challenge themselves against the clock without stopping.
Lock away into your calendars the weekend of August 31st and September 1st as Ride for Red Nose weekend - it will be great to get as many people supporting the weekend over the weekend as possible.
Further details are to come about the weekends events. We are also in need of some sponsorship in 2024. You can find the details of what sponsorship packages are available in 2024, and don’t forget these are tax deductable. Ride the Bellarine for SIDS Course ride registrations are now closed for 2023. But you can still register for the Ride the Month of August for SIDS:
Cost: Free
Select the amount of kilometres you want to ride whilst raising funds for Red Nose in 2023, and help us reach our target of $50,000.
If you miss out or can’t make the August 5 ride, you will still be able to participate online by registering to ride the month of August for SIDS. You will select a kilometre goal for the month and raise funds for Red Nose whilst riding at the gym, around the streets near your home or even in the comfort of your home.

2023 Ambassador Amie Rohan
Ride the Bellarine for SIDS is excited to announce our 2023 Ride Ambassador - Amie Rohan.
Amie is a Geelong mum, mental health and child loss awareness advocate and influencer.
We are thrilled to have Amie support our ride this year, with all funds raising going towards an incredibly important cause that is close to her heart.
Amie will not only be our Ride the Bellarine for SIDS ambassador, she will also be jumping on the bike herself on Saturday 5 August, 2023.
Amie has experienced the heartbreak that comes with losing a child.
When Amie found out she was pregnant, she was overjoyed, knowing that she would soon become a mother.
In April 2018, Amie gave birth to her twin daughters, Bella Rae and Willow Nevaeh.
Willow was born with a rare neural tube defect called anencephaly, a condition where part of the brain and skull are underdeveloped, and babies have little chance of survival beyond the first few days of life.
Only 5 hours after giving birth, Amie had to say goodbye to her much-loved daughter Willow.
As a Red Nose Bereavement Ambassador, Amie has openly shared her journey of losing her daughter Willow and hopes that through sharing her story it can help reach others experiencing a similar loss.
Now a mother of Bella Rae and Sadie Rose (4 and 2 years old, respectively), Amie is passionate about helping to raise awareness of pregnancy and child loss and continues to support Red Nose through fundraising.

Raising funds for Red Nose
Ride the Bellarine for SIDS is an annual charity event that raises money and awareness for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
The ride takes place on the Saturday after Red Nose Day in August, where riders cycle 108kms around the Bellarine Peninsula.
In 2022, our inaugural year, we raised $26,514. Ride the Bellarine for SIDS also raised the largest amount of money from a group or individual for Red Nose.
We look forward to breaking 2022’s record donations in 2023, as well as welcoming a record number of riders joining our cause.
