What is Diabesity
Diabesity is a group of conditions that are part of both obesity and pre-diabetes. Weight gain, insulin resistance, due to poor diet and similar conditions that can eventually lead to full-blown diabetes as well as many other health problems. Diabesity is a series of conditions/symptoms, one leading into another. Examples of this line of conditions; elevated blood sugar, high blood pressure, weight gain and cholesterol problems. All of these can be caused by a diet of low quality foods, smoking, lack of activity, weight gain etc. These can all pile on up like a train wreck one on top of another and lead to poor health.
Don’t just think about this is a me or you issue, diabesity is impacting the entire US! Our health care system is becoming over tasked by this epidemic of Diabesity. Over 10 years, diabesity related conditions will cost the United States over $3.5 trillion! This number doesn’t even factor in for lost work and loss in quality of life. To make matters worse, we (as a nation) are just in the beginning stages of understanding what diabesity really is. Most of us don’t even understand the possible effects. What are the numbers for diabetes? In 1980 there were 5.6 million diabetics, in 2012 it sky rocketed to 20.9 million! If we don’t get a grip, our children will not live as long as we are expected to. We have actually turned the corner in a bad way, life expectancy is falling!
The good news….You Can Control This, and all without drugs! There is no reason to pop a pill or inject insulin. It’s all quiet simple really. Think about the numbers above and the time line. As technology grows, so do we! We have learned to do things faster. For example, how about getting food onto the shelves. Hormones to make our animals grow faster so they can be processed faster and come to market. Over processed foods that really shouldn’t even be considered food! With so many preservatives to keep them there longer, this all seems like a oxymoron. We make food fast because we want it put on the shelf fast, but then use preservatives to keep them there as long as possible, sometimes years! Leave a snack cake out for a month, it won’t look any different from the day it was unwrapped, really! This mind set has created an economic and physical disaster. We are a wasteful, fat, sick nation. I know it’s a pipe dream to think we can go back to “the good old days”, but we can take control of our own lives to be the best we can, and free from illness.
Is diabesity curable? YES DIABESITY is curable and without a pill or injection. Now I’m not saying you can stop your meds if you are diabetic, no, at least not yet, and never without your doctors approval. You should always ask your doctor. Here’s a big “but”, if your doctor’s idea of curing your aliment is prescribing a pill, FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! We are a pill popping nation. In all reality our issues stem from our lifestyle. So change the lifestyle = better quality of life.
So let’s start with the basics, eating, we do it every day. But let’s face it, how often do you eat real food, fresh, quality, not from a box, bag or can? How does your day go….like mine did; get up and shower, eat on your way out the door, or in the car, or worse yet stop for a fast food breakfast? Then work all day at a desk, stressed out, eating lunch at your desk if you are lucky? Or maybe no luck, you just snack all day. And then, on the way home, you’re tired, so you just stop for dinner to take home, or again eat on the way home? OK, now your home and tired, so you sit down in your favorite chair, and either eat your way through the evening, or maybe even fall asleep there in the chair. Let’s see too much food, poor quality food, no activity, yea, those are the basic tools you need to ruin your body. Yikes!
Believe it or not, fixing this not rocket science. But you do need the right tools. I created this because I see us as a nation heading for a disaster. I don’t want to see our children grow up sick, tired and feeling lethargic. We, the adults, have to fix us before we can fix them and we’d better do it quick! It’s time to take control and get our health in order. Let me show you how I did it. What is it! It is me being healthy. Me without high cholesterol, me without high blood pressure or a clouded brain. Me with lots of energy, getting up with almost no joint pain (I’m pushin’ 50 and not done with fine tuning yet). There are so many more positives over negatives, I am crazy happy about this!
The light bulb came on when I related my body to my favorite toy….my Harley. Yep, chicks on bikes are cool! So, while working on my bike (yes I work on my own bike) I realized something, I was always trying to find the best of everything for it. I researched the best oil, transmission fluids, fuel, tires, brakes, etc. If I took that much time thinking about how to make my bike run at it’s best, surely I could use the same idea to fix my diabesity. So that is what I set out to do. After about a year of really digging in and trying different things I found out that it’s really pretty simple. What you put in is what you get out AND what you put out calms you within! So when you eat quality
foods, it produces quality energy. When use that energy wisely, you not only feel great, you will perform great. Your brain becomes clear, your body feels good, strong, clean! Everything works the way it should. So many of us have no idea how our bodies work, it’s an amazing piece of work. Take some TV time and Goggle “the human body”. You’ll be amazed with what you read. Anyhow I want to take this opportunity to give you some really great information. These are the tools I used to get healthy. I learned that combining information is best.

Here’s what helped me.
I did a detox first, it’s always helpful to kick start a healthier way of life. And if you fall of the wagon as they say, a detox is a great way to get back on track. The Paleo Diet (they should not call this a diet, it’s a way of life) is a way to eat well be and stay healthy! I love meat and veggies, always have. Here’s the interesting part, after about 2 weeks, you lose all cravings for bad carbs, that’s serious plus! And best of all, it CURES diabesity! I lost weight, my cholesterol is normal (and steady now for 6 months) , I have lots of energy, a clear head and I feel great!
