Team JEM3 Annual SIDS Ride

Well another Ride for SIDS has come and gone. A great ride; except for one navigational error on the part of the leader. It was thought that he had a house for sale and was leading the group past his residence. It was later said that when 55 motorcycles entered this dead end street, property values dropped. Anyways, after that, the ride went well. The weather was great for a change. In past years, it was extremely hot or wet and cold. Upon arriving at Daniels Restaurant and Open Air Bar, we were greeted by Southern Rock, food, drinks and an abundance of door prizes.

We had many great sponsors again this year. The folks from Daniels worked hard on the grill, and all the waitresses were hopping. LoJack, Tim Allen, Toby Keith, our DJ Johnny Johnson and so many others helped to make this year's event a success. We'd like to recognize a few of our new sponsors. Old Glory Harley Davidson and Mint Strings made BIG contributions to the ride this year. All we can say is "THANK YOU". I am sorry to report that Jack didn't wear a pink thong this year. Actually, we're glad to say that Jack didn't wear a pink thong this year.

After a short hiatus, we will begin planning next years ride. Expect big things because this will be our 5th Anniversary. Spread the word.

We hope by now that everyone knows that ALL the proceeds from this "Ride for SIDS" go to the Center for Infant and Child Loss. (www.infantandchildloss.org) The Center for Infant & Child Loss works with Maryland families and communities facing the sudden unexpected death of their infant or child as they learn to live with their loss. The Center is committed to increasing the understanding of sudden infant and child death, risk reduction practices, grief, and compassionate intervention.
